Default 96 Ram CTD

Hello everybody I am looking at the 96 12v cummins with 109k on it. Its the extended cab long bed. Just curious did they change the dash from 96 to 97? Also this one has some wood grain crap on the dash, will that stuff come off okay? What are some things to look out for when purchasing a 12v? Also the guy is asking 7400, does that seem good or about right? Last question is are these things relatively easy to get power out of? Thanks in advance everyone, looking forward to joining the group.

Short some info there. 2 or 4 wheel drive? What trim level? What kind of shape is it in? half ton? 3/4? One ton?? Manual trans? Auto?? Where at?? (zip code would be sufficient)

Go to Kelly Blue Book, and run thru the used car value calculator. It will give you a pretty good idea of what the truck is worth.

I don't recall a CTD ever being offered in a 1/2 ton?

To the OP- They changed the interior in 98. But maybe it was different for the diesels. The woodgrain can be changed out by finding a nice regular one at a junkyard, or just pop it off, and spray it with some krylon fusion, stuff works great. From what I hear, the 12V are a better buy. It only has 109k on it? Are you serious? That thing is not even broken in yet, seriously. As far as power goes, take a look at this

As far as what to look out for, ask the boys in the Cummins Diesel Section, by going here
