1995 DODGE RAM -- If the plastic pins and metal clip that retain the lower steering shaft in the upper shaft break, the lower steering shaft can separate from the upper shaft.
If the lower steering shaft separates from the upper shaft, loss of vehicle control can occur increasing the risk of a vehicle accident.

ok so probably fixed before 98 model years then.... but I might ask about it next time I'm in there anyways....
and she mentioned the hood latch recall without me saying anything.... I never did go back to get it changed yet...

Recalls are safety issues. If they notify you of one, and there is more, they WILL tell you about it. They are required to by law.
If you take your truck in to the dealer, even if it is just for an oil change, they usually will run the VIN for recalls, as they don't cost the DEALER a thing, corporate pays for all of it.
