i had the same problem at around the same speed, I had all four tires balanced (they were all out of balance) and it seems to be alot better. Still has a little shaking but my front end still needs work.

My regular mechanic was busy so I took it down to a new local hi-tech shop and I was told after a few minutes that it needed new upper and lower ball joints. Which would be fine except I had replaced them all less than 200 miles ago. Just got that sick feeling about these hi-tech guys so I went to another shop and they told me the ball joints were fine but the track bar needed replaced and there was some mud built up on the inside of my front tires. I am just glad I have little bit of mechanical ability or I would have been stuck paying $600 for something I didnt need. Feel sorry for the little old ladies that will be taking thier vehicles to Karnes Pro Tire.

Some shops, if they don't have any idea what is wrong, will 'guess'. Some, without even doing an inspection..... Personally, I find it amusing when a shop tells me X part needs replacing, when it still has the factory sticker on it, and isn't even dirty........ Get some really odd looks when I take them back into their shop, point at the BRAND NEW part they say is "bad", and ask innocently: "Oh, you mean this new one I just bought and installed failed in the drive from my house to here?"........

The shop I used to work at, was honest. If we didn't know what it was, we would say so. If we were just guessing, we would tell the customer it was 'just a guess'. We had a very loyal following.

Go to a tire shop. Get your tires rotated/balanced. Make sure you ask them to run them BEFORE they take off all the weights, and see if any of them are off.
