Just about everything from the 96, should go onto the 98. I don't know if they shuffled stuff around on the dash between the two years..... have to peak at it and see... but, basically, everything is pretty much the same. (the difference on the dash being where the cupholder, and center a/c vents are located.)

Its actually a totally different dash setup. For the 2nd gen Rams, the dash was redesigned in 98. 97 model being the last year you can that dash/gauge setup. I actually like the 94-97 dashes much more than the newer 98-02 dash. And dude I'm sorry to hear about the accident...I know I would be devestated if i lost my truck like that... good luck with the swap..hope all goes as well as it can.

luckily nothing pertaining to the dash will i be carrying over. Mostly just external mods and i like to salvage as many parts as possible, rear end axels, etc. Just don't know how much of it will work.

I will post pics of the progress as i convert my old truck to my new truck, im sure ill have questions for you guys
