Default 96 1500 A/C Help

ok i checked the freon said low i added freon i think its the compressor cycles on for 5 seconds then turns off when it cycles on the freon gauge drops to low i recorded a video of it so you all know what i mean. i dont want to have to take this to get fixed but its in the 90s and my ac doesnt work and im pretty sure it hasnt worked in the year ive had it please help let me know if theres any test i can do to know what is bad thanks guys

Still low on charge. Blast some more in there.

how much did you add already? it probably takes 1-2 pounds from dead empty.

i just overcharged the crap out of mine and had to vent a bunch back out.

yeah i believe with the compressor cycling like that your bone dry. go ahead and add more, system holds 32oz

Ok so I added freon it's just in yellow before red the compressor still cycles and still drops into the green low psi

Post another video. The compressor is supposed to cycle, it shouldn't run constantly.

Is your A/C blowing nice cold air?

Warm air is the only thing coming out not even a hint of cold

I think you have more problems than just being low on charge.
