You could also use headliner material and 3m spray adhesive. I made an overhead console from scratch. Never buily one just did it. Came out good. Make what you want, I like to do stuff that no one else has in their ride. Plus you get the satisfaction of making it.

Looks like you have a big stereo up top so don't forget a couple cup holders, the factory ones suck! And maybe add a couple extra speakers in it.

Do your thang, let everyone else be boring...

Ehh its not a big stereo, Just a couple of 10's hooked up to a 1080 watt amp with two sony door speakers going to another 300 watt amp.
And yea ive heard about them I might make a atachment for a cup holder later after im done making it, Im shooting for alot of work next week.

Btw, thanks for those who supported me. For those who didn't Go make your own and then show me how yours is better.

I won't be making a box with a lock on it to inhibit access to my 4x4 shifter, and i loke stock looking interior (unless it is upholstery). I was just wondering what made you think that a console with a lock, OVER your 4x4 is an improvement.

It is hard to tell your "vision" from the pics you posted, and your description.

The effort is there, but I think that you can put it into other areas. Kinda like a boxing match. When the boxer throws a really good, hard punch...and then completely misses.

He might live somewhere were 4x4 is not needed unless for fun so the 4x4 shifter being blocked will not be a problem, I think the center console is a good idea except for when you go to put someone in the center.

All in all I think its a good idea, I just could not do it because i have people in my center seat to much to block the leg room, and vinyl should not be much I think it was cheaper than carpet when we made my brothers sub box

Well the whole door over the 4x4 thing wont slow me down any, My 4x4 takes 15 secs normaly to kick in. Ive got a vacum leak like hell some where. And I dont off road. And im not on stock tires either. Just a mater of opinions i guess. You may not like it but its cool with me and everyone who is around my house often seems to like the idea. Wait till next week ill have alot more done.

Just noticed you're from KY as well, no wonder I'm supporting you. What parts you from? Gotta have the 4 W D !!!

As for your vacuum leak, it should be easy to track, it's just a pain to fix. There are many variables it could be.
