Weekend project complete(RRs/plenum): Before and after pics
you got those MOPAR covers and air basket on summit didn't you? i saw those last week when i ordered my Magnaflow cat. I havent put the MOPAR air basket on but since it is smaller, how has it worked for you? How did it set on the TB?

It is a TIGHT fit. Vertically. Mainly because i have my MSD wire looms running under the weatherstripping and it is cramping the space. The red square is double sided tape. Because i have not yet made the s shaped bar to thread it onto. I just have a piece of 9 inch steel with a hole drilled in it. I put a short threaded bar in the TB and then put the steel on that. It clamps down the bottom of the air basket TIGHT. The top of the air basket is kept tight because of the space :P
THe tape is there so no dirty air gets down there.
The steel bar is probably restricting air since it basically sits over the TB butterflies. I need to bend the HUGE threaded bar that came with the kit. But i only have one bar and want to take my time. Maybe this weekend.
About the fitch. i think it works better at preventing getting burned with bad gas than an eye popping increase in mileage.
I would not spend the 300 I paid for it. But it is one of those things that pay over time. After all, how much can you track what contaminants are getting filtered by it and how that is affecting your engine.
I forgot about the octane increase it claims. I am going to use the 93 octane tune tomorrow. i only have 91 octane in there.
FWIW, I used 91 octane all the time with my 1996. it has the 92 octane (minimum) PCM. And I had no problems whatsoever.
I will report back about the 93 octane tune using 91 octane tomorrow night.
