heater blowing cold air and overheating

Default heater blowing cold air and overheating

replaced the thermostat and that didn't fix it. the temp never goes above 220 but when i park it the radiator shoots out steam?

any ideas? overheating

Is it losing fluid, other than the steam? Could be a plugged radiator.

I would say heater core does it smell like antifreeze in the car?

yes its losing fluid but i haven't pin pointed the location. looks like it may be coming from the side of the radiator and the inlet radiator house where the thermostat is.

and the passenger floor is wet but i was assuming that was from the rain because it has been sitting for awhile (4 months or more). but i could be wrong. i will go and check it out tomorrow.

No heat is generally a symptom of low coolant. Get a pressure tester, put some pressure on the system, and see if you can find where the coolant is going. (on the ground, on the cab floor, out the exhaust...........) Once you know where it is going, solve that problem, re-burb your cooling system, top it off, and you should solve your problems. Check the coolant level again a few warm-up/cool down cycles later, add as necessary.
