i changed the asd and still nothin i

 

I changed the ASD fuse with another one that was a spare.

 

Got power at the coil?

 

yes i do for a second then it dies and i just hooked it up it says i code

p0123 TPS/pedal position sensor a circut high input

any ideas

 

have a look at the tps, and see if anything is obvious.... Throttle isn't stuck open is it?

 

Unscrew the pre cat o2 and see if it starts.

 

no the throttle isnt stuck open and if the tps is bad would that cause me to get no spark i get power to the coil for a second then nothing but i check it the other way to see if i get spak for a second and nothin i am gonna put a new tps on in the morning do yall know if the computer on the truck is bad would i still get all the other functions full pump head lights check engine light ect.... thanks for the help i will post some pics of the beast when it is back on the road

 

If the tps is shorted internally, the PCM would shut down the ignition/fuel system. If the pump primes for a bit, and then nothing...... yeah, the tps might cause that. Try simply disconnecting it, and see if anything happens.

 

will the truck fire then or will something else tell the computer that isnt working
