Default 97 2wd 2500 tire size

I currently have 245/75r16s (basically a 31") and they are worn out. I was wondering ... how large of a tire can I fit in there stock? 32"? larger?

What if I put a 2" leveling kit up front? Or are those spacer level kits frowned upon?

Did you put new shocks in?
Any issues with alignment or the handling?

Being a 2500 I would say you would be ok with a 285/75/16 but it may depend on the tire you get, if you have some rub then a 1.5 spacer should solve that problem, On my 1500 with a 285/75/16 and the stock height I had some rub only on the plastic though

agreed, since its a 2500, its sits probably about the same as a 1500 4x4, so id say you'd be good with either 265's or 285's

Did you put the 285's on your stock wheels that are in your pic? I called a tire place and they suggested to not go any bigger than 265 on the stock wheels...

im running 285/75/16 on my 2500 4x4 no problem at all and could prolly go bigger if I wanted. I don't have a lift that I know of it doesn't sit any higher than the other 2500 4x4's around town.
