well that makes me a little more at ease. just pull the old one off and put the new one on. what do you use to lube it up before you use it? any kind of oil?

how hard is it to get the 5.9 to TDC?

i will go with cloyes...but i don't need a high performance chain. the most my truck will have is 1.7s...nothing crazy extra

i didnt use any lube, or oil to get it on i lightly tapped it with a hammer if i recall and it slipped in.

and like i said i didnt worry about TDC for the 5.9, so i dunno how hard it would be. probably a real biatch since its so hard to turn the crank even with the cylnders depresurised, but i dont know.

Dipping it in oil before installation isn't really necessary, but, it wont hurt either.

If you pull all the plugs, it really shouldn't be that difficult to turn the engine over by hand........ I just use a crank snout socket, and a half inch ratchet....... and I ain't that big a guy......

remove spark plugs? can you remove old spark plugs and then reinsert them? also do we wrap teflon tape around the threads of the spark plugs before we put them in?

Teflon is for water hoses boys. Use antiseize on the plugs, not Teflon tape.

You can regap plugs and sharpen the edges to regain some plug life.
