if you are going to drag their name through the mud better have some solid proof backup;

and make sure you didn't install a limited slip

If you do a burnout it will leave one way black and one not very black at all. Yes it will chirp going around turns. Every once in a while it will slam hard on take off and you here the locker lock in to posi.. No it is not a true trac. I and three other techs were there for install. Diff fluid is fine. I understand detroit dont fail like this becasue many people i know have them. If anything they never unlock. I wish i had that problem. The thing is once you tie it to another truck or hook to my trailer, it will not stay locked. And i pulled all part numbers from the diff itself and ran them by detroit. Even they say it is a No-spin diff. All it is, is a weak spring. The more i looked into how there diffs work they more since it made. Im buying an ox locker this weekend becasue im never going to have a unlocking issue again!!!! Ill be open when i want and locked when i want. no more guessing. Detroit makes a good product im just saying mine is screwed up. Ill tear it apart myself before i send it in to them and half to wait two to three weeks to get it back. I pull every weekend and i am not missing one pull. You tend to lose sponsership that way.

I want to see a video of that. I'm planning on getting a detroit locker for my truck sometime soon.

Sorry for the not so good video but this is the only one I have at this time. I will be getting more but this is hard to see but you can hear it. When a full load gets on the truck the locker comes unlocked and i go straight back. The only reason i won the second time was the other truck broke. I ended up getting second at this event, but the only reason i lost is the locker did what it did in the first pull of this video. Ill get more up as soon as i can.

Heres two more updates. First one you have to listin and you can hear when rear axle is unlocking. Second one you can watch close and see it.

I would say the 2nd one is the better one. At the 30 second mark you could see the one tire was just there while the other one was powering away.

Weak or broken spring, that's what I'm leaning on. I wish I could find the exploded view of these things. I don't have a locker in the rear, I have a true-trac limited slip, mine works just how yours is working right now it seems. I run 37s just couldn't justify snapping axle shafts on a C-Clip axle...so no locker for me. (9.25 rear)
