May need to replace heads!!

Spend the $750 and get a set of HD heads from CCH. If you pull the heads and they arn't cracked why put them back on to crack later? AND CCH now sells the 2,02 valve heads for 750 which is a steal. I paid that for my stock replacement heads from them.
I wouldn't port the stock heads. I mean come on they crack for gods sake why take more materal off them????

If you want to upgrade, get a set of Iron Rams from Hughes. If not, just drop yours off at a machine shop, or get a set of remans and be done with it.
Also I'd skip the RR's. Since you're going to be this deep into the engine, you may as well add a mild cam. Would probably cost less than the RR's and would net more of a gain.

Well I only have the money to do one thing or the other. So it's either going to be repaired heads if its just a valve or something like that and a cam or RR. Or HD or Reman Heads to replace the stockers. So I won't know what way to go until I actually pull the head and send it to the shop. SO What is better. The Ram heads from hughs or The HD Heads?? Any performance gains from either?? Remember all the truck is stock that I know of.

Ok just as an update and a new riddle. I have been driving around for the last few weeks with no changes done to the truck since I got the misfire light. Yet the CEL has still not returned?? The only thing I did was seafoam the truck. I never redid my compression check. But the light came back one time after I seafoamed the truck so I thought there was an issue. But still the truck hasn't thrown a CEL Light. Why would the symptoms and light just go away for no reason. It's like the problem was there then all of a sudden gone?? Is this the twilight zone or something?? lol
