rotor and cap
Did I hear you right? Every time you do a tune up, you change the COIL with the cap, rotor and plugs?!
Autolite has actually been slipping on quality control recently. Not a bad company, don't get me wrong, but you have to watch their stuff more closely now. Autolite is owned by Honeywell.
I dunno about mopar rebranding their caps and rotors. Or their wires. Either way though, I have used the "better" stuff and wound up putting in the mopar rebranded stuff anyway.
Accel truck tune up kit is great. 99 dollars at summit (Cap, rotor, plugs, wires) The cap is brass terminal as well!!
When you get the plenum, remember to get the 44 dollar hardware kit with the gaskets and a tube of ultra black RTV. You will need new intake bolts.

I know. I was making sure he got that kit. I just installed it last weekend. My post must have been unclear. I meant that the 44 kit was needed because you need new intake bolts.
Bottom line:
you need the 86 dollar kit and 44 dollar kit.

What I mean by that bold part was that its a heat range colder. They fit and work well if your plenum gasket is blown.

What better stuff are you referring to exactly?

Tried MSD, ACCEL, Moroso, etc etc. Seems like you have to be careful with any product. And just do a lot of your own trial and error to find what works for you.
I have a '66 charger with a 318 and tried a lot of performance parts and only some of seemed to do any good. Since then I found that Mopar products were more often than not the better solution for the money. I did what research I could on parts but found the trial and error method to be much more reliable in finding what actually works well. Since then I purchased a '93 dakota and a '98 ram both with 318s. I honestly couldnt be happier with how they run. I just need to fix the plenum, cat, and the rest of the exhaust in the ram and I will be a happy camper
