fitting 40's
I am only reporting what I have on paper, for my truck. This was a certified scale as well. Is my truck using to much oil? Is it getting fat? Does it need to go on a diet?? (would be nice if it used less gas......
)
)
The cummins weighs much more than that, ours weighs in at just over 8K with bumper, winch, full tank and me inside.(its a dully) The scales i use all have verts and i know there accurate. I actually think there is a thread around here somewhere about how much peoples trucks weigh. Look it up (i will and post it) I don't think anyone's truck weighs 4400lb.. maybe a 2wd v6 dak might but not our half tons.
So your telling several people there wrong? I couldn't find the thread on weight so i started a new one. So lets stop thread jacking and we can see/talk about our truck weights on the thread i made.

i have a 5.5 skyjacker with a 2 inch front coil spacer and i clear my 37s with NOOOO problem and i have 40 inch boggers that onkly rub on full lock over a bump. so idk why everyones saying 36s and stuff at most it clears my fortys besides at full lock while hitting a bump but turning on a smooth road is fine
No, just that site is wrong.
Edmunds.com lists a 1999 Dodge Ram's curb weight at 5272 lbs. Who knows which trim they weighed... was it 4x4? 4x2? Regular Cab? Quad Cab? Quad/extended add weight, 4x4 adds weight, etc. etc.
My 1995 4x4 Dakota with the 5.2L V8 weighed 4000 lbs by itself, without me in it. I can guarantee you my truck weighs quite a bit more than that.
