I am only reporting what I have on paper, for my truck. This was a certified scale as well. Is my truck using to much oil? Is it getting fat? Does it need to go on a diet?? (would be nice if it used less gas...... )

Come on.

Not even a Cummins in the heaviest offered configuration weighs that much.
The cummins weighs much more than that, ours weighs in at just over 8K with bumper, winch, full tank and me inside.(its a dully) The scales i use all have verts and i know there accurate. I actually think there is a thread around here somewhere about how much peoples trucks weigh. Look it up (i will and post it) I don't think anyone's truck weighs 4400lb.. maybe a 2wd v6 dak might but not our half tons.

No, just that site is wrong.

Edmunds.com lists a 1999 Dodge Ram's curb weight at 5272 lbs. Who knows which trim they weighed... was it 4x4? 4x2? Regular Cab? Quad Cab? Quad/extended add weight, 4x4 adds weight, etc. etc.

My 1995 4x4 Dakota with the 5.2L V8 weighed 4000 lbs by itself, without me in it. I can guarantee you my truck weighs quite a bit more than that.
