How do I tighten down my springs? They just had little clips that hold them on to the valve.time to turn to my Haynes.

O.K. ~ First off , I appoligize ..I looked it up in the manual..And well , I'm 45 years old.I have never really paid much attention to the valves and springs on a 5.7 Hemi..I assumed ***~U~me~d <me...That a Hemi was built like every other V~8 ... I was wrong..
I stick with the theory that the cam pos. sensor might be the cause "BUT" There are no rocker arms on a Hemi .."As you know"...SO "once again" I am wrong..I'm out of Ideas...I have a habit of over thinking things..and that's not always good..
Do what you were doing , It's the best way..I'm gonna wait on the results and quit writing on this sight when I have a 12 pack under my belt..
Check that Haynes and follow you're gut feeling , You can do it , We'll figure it out "Eventually"..

No I haven't figured it out yet i'm waiting to get the crank position sensor next pay check it want in the budget this check. I did derust and repaint my frame though. I'm thinking i'm going to do a poor mans lift to clear 37s shackle flip and 3/4springs in the front.

George I find myself wising you lived closer every time I work on it cause I know you'd be over helping.

Changed out my crank position sensor still having the same weird problem. It backfires like a cannon out of the throttle body. I'm at the end I can't think of s anything else that could be wrong with it. I'm thinking i'm going to party it out two years its too long. Sell it and buy a diesel. If anyone is interested in a headache make me an offer.

The are a distributerless system so everything is run off the crank position sensor(ckp) and the cam position sensor (cmp) I have replaced both so it has to be something seriously wrong with the motor. My only guess is that something happened when it rolled over. I'm fine with having a money pit that runs but one that won't even start is too much for me.

could some of your wiring be off? is there a custom fab shop around you that could figure it out for you?

i dont think a roll-over would cause an engine to backfire like that, but ive been wrong before.

hope you get it figured out!

if i had the cash id take it off your hands!
