Possible Fuel Pump Problem Help I May Be Retarded!!
thanks for the advice, it looks to be the original cat I just assumed that after taking the o2 sensor out that would allow some of the pressure to be relieve and the miss would change somewhat. I have some buddies that do exhaust work so I plan on getting it done away with anyway lol..
well here is a new symptom lol.....I went to the parts store and picked up 2 new cheap autolite plugs to replace the ones currently in number 1 and 8 cylinders, So I go up to the father in law's garage, swap the plugs out, recheck all the the plug wires. Start up the truck to take it out on the main road for another test run and after I got pulled out and drove it and when I slowed down while still in gear and the idle of the truck got extremely low and I noticed that didnt seem right, but there is no hesitation or stumble when pulling out from this extremly low idle condition like 200 and 300 rpm. I pulled out onto the road and low and behold the miss is still there. I drive it back to my place and as Im coasting into my parking spot the truck actually quits.....but it started right up, I drove it around a little more and when I went to park the idle done the same thing (drops to about 200 rpm and feels like its going to quit) but this time it didnt quit...lol....
Yeah I put a new set of champions in it like 3 weeks ago, when I pulled the plugs yesterday they didnt look too terrible (no gas/oil) a thin layer of carbon/soot on them. I gave them a good wipe down and put them back in and that didnt make any change, while sitting here bored I figured I'd toss a couple cheap plugs in their place to see if that had any effect on the miss....nope no change...just this terribly low idle at parking lot speeds I actually brought the plugs home with me ill take a pic of them here in a sec and see if I can post pics on here, maybe a guru can tell me something from them lol... I plan on replacing the cheapies I just stuck them in cause I'm just bored and desperate lol...The plugs I took out of the truck were bosch platinums...I replaced with champion coppers...Give me a few min. and ill try and have some pics on here if it lets me...
Jeebus. You need to stop mixing and matching spark plugs and trying different brands.
The first order of business is to get 8 stock Champion plugs that are properly gapped and install them. After that, double check the wiring of the plug wires to insure no misfiring can occur.

Here are the 3 week old plugs I pulled from number 1 and 8 cylinders, I whiped them clean yesterday with some wd and a rag and put them back in and may have put 30 min. worth of driving on them since, before removing about an hour ago...
maybe you misunderstood me....the truck had 8 champion copper plugs I put in it 3 weeks ago all of which I planned on using....I simply went to autozone got a couple cheap autolites to put in the two cylinders which the computer said was missing...numbers 1 and 8...I have no intentions of leaving them in I was simply seeing if that had any effect (good or bad) on the miss my truck has.....Had the miss went away I would assume it was related to the plugs/spark and after going through all that good stuff again I would have went and spent the money and replaced all 8 plugs again 3 weeks later, however its all a moot point because the miss was unchanged lol....
