I recommend that before going through the expense and bother of replacing the fuel pump, you should tee a gauge into the line to prove it needs to be done.

gotta get the appropriate adapters, and hook the gauge between the fuel line, and the rail.

my 01 has a test port in the rail, but i'm not sure about your 97. i was looking at a test kit at Advance the other day, and it had a bunch of adapters and T's with the kit. unfortunately, it was more expensive to buy than i expected it to be. see if you can rent/borrow one.

seems to be a little worse today, I took it for a spin and seems to begin missing about 300 rpms earlier now..and now I notice a slight miss with a non WOT condition maybe 3/4 or so throttle...maybe whatever it is will just decide to give out so I can figure it out that way lol....

I removed the front o2 sensor yesterday and it made no change to the miss lol it only caused the ever annoying check engine light to come on could the cat still be to blame?

In the event it is the fuel pump has anyone tried on of those $60 dollar jobs on ebay? I'd prefer not to pay over $200 if there is a cheaper route that would get me by for a while, but I understand you get what you pay for lol...
