If I do a compression test on this thing which fuse do I pull for the fuel? Will this tell me if I have a cracked head? Also do I take all 8 plugs out? Or do I just take the 4 out on each side at a time?

Also is there a diy on cleaning the iac?

Mine dose but I can see the gauge move. But its not all the time.

Might want to look at a new timing change 136k there is a fair amount of slack on that thing, and get a new water pump while you are at it. YOu have to take the water pump off to get to the chain.

Mine runs smooth as butter at op temp at idle. Might wanna replace that CPS..Just a thought. I replaced mine and it ran alot smoother. And what about your FPR(It doubles as a fuel filter) That might be causing it. Just thought id run that by ya.

So did that reveal a crack or was it fine? What did all that cost? Did your miss go away?

I just noticed that you used Platinum plugs....ive heard alot of people say the platinums would make them run rough....but with our trucks its a hit and miss on the plugs....are the plugs gapped correctly?

Pull the ignition system relay, My factory timing chain was shot at 60,000 miles. put a new chain in and it runs smooth as silk.

At idle and low revs, a loose chain will jerk the timing around a bit.

I have run the oem plugs too with no difference. My truck has done this for as long as I can remember. I also tried auto lites and they were worse. Is there a way to check the timing chain before I replace it?
