So i have been away for awhile for work out of town and a bunch of side work for extra money. Anyways my truck has been sitting for way to long at this point(since december) and i need to begin work on it again.

I took and put oil in and coolant then jump started it to get it running, As it sits either the head gasket or the head is blown on the driver side. So i started removing stuff so i can get the motor out.

Im going to buy a entire new gasket set with everything needed.
Going to paint it for fun.
Going to put the body lift thats been in my room for over a year in while the motor is unhooked
New rear main seals
Going to have new distributor and wires(just replaced plugs)

Anything else you would aboslutly replace while its out. that is hard to reach while its in

sorry should have went into detail.
Has 1.7s RRs, Hughes FI Airgap, K&N system, Fastmans TB

but almost all is new(put on Airgap, 1.7s and Fastmans at the same time then i blew a radiator hose about three blocks from my house and over heated it instantly so i havent got to test any parts at all.

How much would you pay for new heads im stuck on this issue. Have a some extra money saved up for new truck parts but im not wanting to go to crazy on new heads since its not a daily driver and its mostly a toy.

See what Hughes is selling them for.
I saw a top end kit that comes with aluminum heads, airgap, new cam, roller rockers, all necessary gaskets and something else for 3000$, so the heads alone shouldn't be a bank breaker.

A better design (than stock) head is also available on ebay, for 270 a side, fully assembled.

What kind of budget are you looking at?
