I replaced my battery with a OEM one from the dealer when I did it. I figured my oem one lasted 7 years so I minus well get another one. I've had it for 2. I had planned originally to get a Optima, but the more and more I read the more and more I read of people having issues and having them die quickly. There are tons of reports of bad Optimas out there. It seems like if you get a good one it's great. However, it sounds like if you don't get a good one, you will have nothing but issues. After reading reviews I decided I wasn't paying that much to hope I got one of the good ones so I just got an OEM one.

As for Walmart, Sears, etc, I don't have any experience with those.

BTW if your stereo stuff is blowing the battery every 3 months, you need to do some investigating. Something is done wrong, or bad. Maybe you need a second battery depending on what you have or a bigger alternator, but it more sounds like something is installed wrong. What kind of stuff do you have that's blowing a battery every 3 months?

If you are talking to me, it's not the hardware causing the issue. It's the fact that I like to have tunes with out running the motor, so I'm using a battery as a deep cycle that it isn't meant for....

It's my fault, but warranties are awesome.

Yes Yes. Play the ethics card.
