What cha guys suggest for mid price shocks. Mine are so shot that it is like riding in a boat. Stand next to the truck, push it and pull out the sun dial and wait for it to stop rocking.

I haven't tried them on a Ram yet, but I like the Monroe Gas Magnum truck shock for highway trucks that don't do any gnarly off-roading. (There isn't a good mid-range shock for gnarly off-roading, IMHO.)

I think my shocks are the factory originals....... and it still rides like there is NO suspension. (MUCH better with a ton and a half of dirt in the bed though.... then its pretty nice.)

For mid priced shocks just go with anything from your local auto parts store, Monroe's and Gabriel's are both good choices. If you want a stiffer ride, stay away from the Monroe Sensatracs, they are pretty plush and bouncy.

I'm still iffy on Gas Magnums. My rears are still fine, but after 20,000 miles or slightly less, the fronts are shot. No off roading.

My local O'Reillys has some RS5000 Ranchos in stock for the front that I may try. If you have the cash, Bilsteins are supposed to be really nice.
