Question Accelerator Cable

Anyone know where I can get an accelerator cable? Advance, Ebay, Rockauto,Carpart4u,Autohausaz, Autozone all failed me. I was doing routine maintenance on my 94 319ci nd I noticed the cable is frayed. Don't wanna drive it much further with cable like this. This is a DODGE truck, not a TOYOTA. I don't want to move forward when I don't want to!

I'm not sure where you're gonna find an accelerator cable for an engine that doesn't exist.. But if you need one for a Chrysler 318 Magnum, try a junk yard.

id say junk yard for the cable

and i dont mean to hijack your thread but i noticed my pedal is really low to the floor and id like it to be pulled forward more, is there any way to tighten the cable? i looked and couldny find anything. i have full range of power, id just like to have more control over it with a longer pedal sweep.

Haha that's cool. My pedal is actually screwy too. Its off by about and inch which sucks cause it acts like a governor and limits my speed to about 70. Hoping to fix that if and when I can find a cable.

Talking Update

Ok so after calling around several different places and finding out the dealer wanted $60 for what is essentially 1/32 in steel cable and rubber, I decided to check my local junk yard and sure enough, they had a brand new arrival of a 2nd gen ram 2500. I pulled the cable (with the help of a buddy) and walked away with a cable for $20. Putting it in was a little more difficult than I would have liked, but Ive gotten used to challenges with this truck. Also put a new breather filter in and its like this thing was given a new lease on life. Thanks to everyone, said buddy and LaPollos for helping me out.

haha my pedal sagged too. It happens because the cable stretches. I cut a 3/4" dowel 1" long and cut a kerf into it halfway through and slid it on the cable between the cable end and the pedal, then zip tied each end and wrapped it with tape. You can make the length of yours to whatever amount of slack you want. I made mine have ~1/8" of slack...
