Gotta be more than that, my 01 with the 5.2l will shift at 5k if you put it flat to the floor. I'd say 5.5 to 6k.

Its definitely not 6k.

The factory rev limiter for a 5.9L V8 is somewhere around 5200k when in gear. I've been told that it is 4700k or so in Park. I'm pretty sure it'd be the same for the 5.2L V8, but I could be mistaken on that.

(shrug) I was guessing 6K cause the tac goes all the way to 7K. Kinda pointless to have it if the motor is never gonna come close to it.

My tach dosen't go to 7k.

And shifting that high is extremal hard on the tranny.

I didn't mean the needle goes that far, the scale does. As I said earlier, the truck will shift at 5K if you put the pedal flat to the floor.

5200 rpms and you drop spark (rev limiter). Not a good design by dodge as I think the injectors still fire and you load up on fuel.
