Default Anyone from vegas area?

Just got back from a week long trip in vegas ( ) All I can say is, DODGE RAMS RULE, at least out there. Saw more jacked up dodges and CTDs than I could count. Mostly in general, a great amount of nice looking trucks. But dodge held the majority.

You vegas guys have it great out there.

Yep, I'm in Vegas. Been here about 2 1/2 months now and I about **** myself when I saw all the dodges. I've never seen this many dodges in one city before, it's great. I just wish most of them would be on here but they're not. I'm rocking the DF stickers to so hopefully some of them see them and decide to join us.

This is not a good time to be looking for a job in Vegas. When the economy tanked the casinos laid off to the point of being understaffed, and while many of those laid off went back to wherever they came from, a lot of them who had nothing to go back to are now lining up for the few jobs that are available. Rents are down, and vacancy, crime, and business failure rates are up. The neighborhood casinos who are doing most of the hiring are churning through new hires at a helluva rate because the tips are too low to keep anyone hanging around for long.

Vegas has always been a mopey town and it's mopier now than it's ever been.

We've been here about a year and a half, my truck's been here since it first left the dealer's lot down on West Sahara -- and we're out of here next month or the month after.

I lived in North Las Vegas off of Craig and MLK BLVD a few years ago and crime was bad then, jobs were low and living costs were crazy. Sounds like it hasn't changed much over the years. I always said it was better to go for a weekend than live there.

Crime is pretty much only bad south of craig. When I got here I ran the crime rates of all the zip codes I wanted to live in and north las vegas isn't too bad, especially in the newer houses. Awhile ago, cops but a trap car in the parking lot of the wal mart on craig and vegas blvd and the most it was stolen in 1 day was 11 times. But yea, I've been here almost 3 months, been around most of the city, and it doesn't seem too bad.
