3:21?---> 3:55
correct me if i am wrong, but with the stock v6 swb ram the rear gears are 3:21? that being said if i have those i want to go to 3:55 gears. where would i go to get all the parts needed to do this swap? what do i need? is this possible without redoing my hole rear end? just want a tad more towing and get-up. and 3:55 is the stock gearing for v8 ram half tons. (correct me if i am wrong)
edit* would i be better off getting a whole new (new to me) rear end off a v8 half ton ram from like a junk yard or somethin? or would that involve a new driveshaft?

completeoffroad.com and ringpinion.com has what you need. You need the ring and pinion + install kit.
3.55 would be quite noticeable compared to 3.21 but do you have the stock 245/75/16 tires? you might want to go to a 3.92 gear but I don't know if that would make a v6 rev too high or not.
A rear end out of a junk yard would be a good bet if you could pop the cover off and inspect the gears first and if it was less than 300$.
Look at the sticker on the inside-front of your hood or in the glove box and you'll see what gears you have. If you don't have one of those stickers then look at the rear axle and there should be a sticker on one end right next to the inside edge of the drum that has the gear ratio on it.
