Well I found my dads old hood ornament of of his 80's Ram Charger. He never got around to putting it on his truck before he died. So I decided to put it on. I'll post pics of the installation and final look when finished.

Here is the Ram.

Ram with hardware. The hood will go between the two washers and gaskets.


It's not a professional install, but it would have made him happy. I intend to machine a proper bracket once I get money.

 

I'm actually quite interested to see what that looks like on our trucks... Great idea, and even better that it will have a special meaning to you

 

I think it looks alright actually. I mocked it up to see.


It's a little off center, but it still looks nice.

 

I thought about doing the same thing, but with an older style one with the long sloping base.

True. Also I don't care how it looks. If someone gives me dirty looks about it, it's only jealousy. Especially if it's a Ford or a Chevy owner, since they don't have nifty hood ornaments.
