Default Quick tire ques ????

I have a 96 1500 4x4. Will 285/75/16 fit without rubbing and will they be out farther than the fender. Which is better bfg at's or the grabber at2

what do you mean only slightly and how long do the grabbers last and how good in mud,snow,and ice

Its an all-terrain tread pattern, so, performance in any given terrain is going to be a compromise..... According to what I have read, performance is pretty good on snow, and not-deep mud. Dry is great, ice is so-so. (of course, ANY tire without studs is going to be fun on ice.......)

One reviewer had 50,000 miles on 'em......

They will rub the control arms when you cut the wheel all the way if you have the stock swirly rims like these

Those tires are that size. They just barely stick out past the fenders but not at the top of them.

I would to with BFG if I was you.

I don't have those rims I have the other 16 inch rims kinda like the off road rims.....what size should I do and will work the best ?

willstruck has maxxis bighorn's, not the mudders, and he said they were good.

my cooper 285 all-terrain's don't rub.

A 285/75/16" tire is a 33 x 11.5" tire. A 255/85/16" tire is a 33 x 10.5" tire (although generally these 255 tires have an "E" rating). Slightly narrower but the same height. So that little difference MAY keep you from rubbing and sticking out so far.
