Yes, Clearwater was selling heads with a thicker deck, for 275 a whack. Fully assembled, ready to bolt on.

 

I e-mailed that guy a while back. He bought this truck for parts. He knows nothing about the state of the engine. I asked if he could do a compression test for me and never got back to me.

 

They are EngineQuest heads. That is the brand you are looking for, regardless of where you get them from. They are cast at a foundry in Australia that used pressed-in hardened exhaust valve seats, had a few other tweaks, and are cast smoother than factory casts were.

The factory castings were not hardened correctly and crack between the exhaust and intake valve seats.
