What do your plug wires/cap/rotor look like?

Are you aware of the Technical service bulletin on plug wire routing? (available in the FAQ section here.)

How many miles on your truck?

If the ignition parts are in good shape, I would recommend doing a compression test, and see what the numbers look like. The problem cylinders are on opposite banks of the engine.... so, compression numbers should be interesting to see.
