Default lift/leveling kit

I have a 99 sport 2wd and am wanting to install a leveling kit on the front. I have seen a lot about the leveling kit's on a 4wd, but not really anything on the 2. I measured and have about a 2" difference in the rear and front right now. There are 1",1 1/2", 2", and 2 1/2" kits for my truck. I am thinking of going with the 2", but am wondering if I raise the front 2" how much will the rear go down? I made my measurements from the top of the tire and from the ground to the center of the fender for both front and back. Thinking that 2" front when moved higher will make back be about 1/2" lower, is this right?

It shouldn't make the rear settle at all.... shouldn't..... magic word there.

If you want to play it safe, go with the 1.5inch kit, and call it good.

Something like that, yes. The rear end will pivot downwards over the rear wheel. Supposedly, a 2.5" space will be a little rough due to the spring compression and limited travel, and you will need new shocks. A 2" makes the front end sit somewhat higher than the rear IMO, and the 1.5" is almost perfectly level. I run the 1.5" spacer and didn't notice a huge rough ride difference, and looks good.
