Question how do i tell???

ok this might sound like a stupid question but is there a way like a VIN check or something like that that could tell me if my truck was originally a Ram Sport before it was repainted?

Get your build sheet from chrysler. Either from the dealership, or contact customer service, and have them email it to you. I think there is an article in the FAQ section on how to go about it.

Easy way to tell. Do you have 2 or 4 bulbs per headlight? Also, do you have fog lights on the outside ends of the bumper in their own holes?

If you answered 4, and yes, you have a sport.

Not accurate on the earlier models. Mine is a sport, has dual headlights, and the fogs are toward the center of the bumper. I think the externals changed in 97-98? Or some such.

But do you have dual headlights?

The sport was the only model offered with those, and considering that it's a royal PITA to convert...

Ok, there are two of them, one on each side...... The newer sports had quad headlights.

Sometimes, these terms trip me up.
