Default Question about lights

so i was thinkin bout gettin some additional lights for my truck. and i wanna mount them kinda where sports have their fog lights, i have a vertical metal piece right there instead of fog light housing. so my plan is to mount the lights layin on their side bolted to those metal pieces. but does anyone know how much room there is? or how many inches tall is the front openings on the bumper? and also whats the different from driving lights to off-road lights?

Fog lights give a wide, flat beam, to illuminate the road under the fog. (supposedly....) Off Road lights are MUCH higher power, and are designed to illuminate as much as possible. (wide, tall beam)

I think the stock fogs are four inch in diameter?

i dont need to know the size of thefog lights, i need to know what the measurement is of the air vent thing itself. not sure what to call the cut out in the bumper. and im talin bout a regular bumper, not a sport bumper. like the cutouts in the chrome, i need to know the height measurement of that cutout.

I think he is a few thousand miles from his truck... not to mention a fair bit of water.

There were no differences between the sport, and non-sport in the 96 model year, as far as the bumper goes, mine looks just like every other ram bumper out there. (like the one in the sig pic above...) Yep, four inches.
