Check your wheel bearings, and ball joints. Sounds like you have everything else covered.... any slop in your steering?

Please start your own thread, detail the problem, and what all you have done. There are so many different possible causes, and trying to troubleshoot two vehicles in the same thread is a bit confusing.

vibration - usually a bad balance. sometimes a shop's balance machine is out of whack. have them recheck. if you don't trust them, take it somewhere else and have them checked/rebalanced.

I was wondering if it could be in the shaft that goes from the steering wheel to the gear box does that ever go bad and how do you tell. my wheel bearings and ball joints were replaced in 06. I will look at them tonight when i get home from work. thanks for the replies if anymore ideas are out there for me to look at it would be great

i doubt it. the steering shaft does wear out, which creates some back and forth play, some clunking, loose feel, etc. but - the shaft only rotates a little when steering, which your not doing much of at 75mph LOL.

vibration at speed will be coming from something thats turning - tire, wheel, bearing, axle and u-joint (4wd).

are you 2wd or 4wd. if 4wd and its not tires, check axle u-joints which turn full time.

wheel bearings vibe when then go, and grind as well. easy way to determine. jack up one side of truck, give the tire a good shake. there should be ZERO movement. if it moves, unit bearing is gone. could also be ball joints though.

what kind of tires are you running? are they old walmart type tires?
crap tires have a tendency to split belts on the inside of the tire that will go un noticed on a tire balancer. i know this because its happened to me.

jack up the truck, figure out if theres movement in your front end. if not, throw on a set of 'known to be good tires' and take it for a spin.

what truck is this?
if its a 4wd do you get clunking when turning?
try putting it in 4 wd and see if it gets worse
check your wheel bearing by lifting the front end up and shaking the tire at 3 and 9 o clock and also 12 and 6 o clock for any movement.

the truck is a 00 2500 sport 4x4 quad cab. Tires are goodyear mud terrain old style. no cupping or wierd thing tires are in good shapei jacked up the tires no movement at all up and down or side to side. does the front drive shaft spin if the truck is in two wheel drive, also can i take it off to see if its one of them u joints or if its the rear u joint. ill have to take that apart next and move them around to see if any play in them
