Default 1500 to 2500

hey guys i have 01 1500 5spd . was junk yarden found 99 2500 that was a cash for clunkers has the dana 60 full floating rear axle , price was 300.00$ whats the odds and ends of switching axles out to my 1500 the 2500 was a at , but dont think that make a difference any input ? tips ? on this one thanks wv dodge

you can swap in the 60 i know. but as far as a direct fit to ur tranny and all, im not sure.

2500 had the 241HD T/Case, (i am not sure if it has a larger/different output shaft for the t/c the 1500 uses, something to check.) so, might wanna grab that as well, and the driveshaft. 2500 axles are eight lug, so, wheels will also be necessary. If you have a 4x4, you will need to make sure your gear ratio's match, or, grab the front axle/driveshaft as well

yeah both driveshafts are there and tcase mine is the 231 in truck now but i am checking monday think i can get the whole front and rear axles and t case for about $400.00 which i didnt think was too bad , will update any other info i can for the next guy thanks
