Default CAT Removal

I want to take off my cat and just replace it with a straight pipe. My problem is how do i bypass the O2 sen so the CEL dont come on. Is there a MIL for these trucks?

you have an 01 so i would just get a highflow cat for 80 bucks cut the old out and put in the new one , and you will gain low end instead of losing some with taking it off. and it will be 3 times louder too.

i took mine off for 8 months and didnt like it off. even though i didnt get any CEL.

Exactly, there is a DIY write-up by HammerZ71 who does a step by step how to bypass the check engine light. Just look under the FAQ/DIY section and look it up. It is very cheap to do this mod. Hope this helps....

just go to auto zone, buy HELP! spark plug non-foulers 18mm (same as your o2 sensor) drill a half inch hole in one, screw it on your o2 sensor then screw the other one(which you didnt do anything with) on to the first one and then screw it into your pipe and tighten it down. my CEL comes on once in a while but goes back off soon....
