Default Correct Me If Im Wrong..

Soo, correct me if Im wrong. But, if you have a sh*tty plenum, would that mean it would go through oil like nobodies business right? My truck was goin through oil like nobodies business. It also would burn it too. So, as I said, this would most likely be related to plenum right?

Or the heads on the truck could be cracked.

What is that sticking on the front of your truck?

Just look through the throttle body. You will know if it is bad or not.

On mine..... I go thru almost a quart of oil every 100 miles.... yep, right into the plenum. Looked down the throttle body, and I could just about go swimming in the oil in there...... Wonderful. I am almost ready to swap intakes. I bought another used one, modded that one, and will install here just as soon as I can find the opportunity to do so.

I agree with the bad plenum. Its very common in our magnum engines. Plus you say you are burning oil, but not leaking it correct? If so, I bet my money on the plenum.

A stuck PCV valve will pull a helluva lot of oil, too. Check that, and do the vacuum/pressure check in the TSB before pulling the intake manifold -- it might not be necessary.

That, or you've got a really sneaky neighbor pulling the sickest practical joke ever.

Wow, that sounds like fun. All I need now is a victim and an opportunity.

Mine used a quart every 3 months or so. You wont notice any smoke or puddles because it all burns off inside the engine. Mine was pretty bad. It seems that back in 2000 when it was recalled, the mechanics at the dealer didn't bother to make sure the gasket was on right. It was all twisted and mangled. I put a Hughes kit on it, problem solved.
