Got a package from UPS
came home today and found a nice little surprise at my house, the ups guy finally dropped off my shipment from hughes.

so i got really excited and decided to start putting the parts on, but this is my daily driver and work everyday so...
so my brother gave me an old plenum from his last motor,

i spent about an hour with oven cleaner and some spray called purple power.

the thing looks practically brand new! i scrubbed it with a scotch brite pad and a stainless steel wool ball
now the only thing about this plenum is that there is a bolt snapped off next to the thermostat

my question is can i like jb weld over those two holes and just drill and tap a new one? this plenum was free and just lying in my yard. is it worth fixing?

You confused me for a minute. You said your brother gave ya a new 'plenum' by that do you mean the intake manifold or 'kegger' ? Cause you bought a new plenum from Hughes correct? If you referring to the kegger, I say it is fine, as long as you can make the correct repairs...or heck, buy a new one or guess I should say a pre-owned one. Pull one at the salvage yard if you are not feeling confident about this one. Why waste your energy on a lost cause, so to speak?
technically bigslick, he bought a plenum plate, which bolts to the bottom of the.....plenum!

Nice pile of parts, OP, I would lovvve to come home and find all that stuff waiting for me!
