In Texas, if you live in a high population county, you have emissions testing, but I THINK it's just visual,(ie, do you have what looks like a cat and O2 sensors.)
If it's a rural county or a farm or commercial vehicle, there is no emissions inspection.
They'll get you for a blown light bulb in the rear bumper before the cat, IMO.
Id take Texas over Iowa anyday, its not the heat that kills you its the humidity making it like sticky outside and hard to breathe
I here yeah on that!
We had 112* humidex the other day, was about 107 today.
Hard to motivate myself to work in the garage when the sweat is dripping in my eyes

Heck, it's 107 right now here! But it's not so bad without the humidity and the sun being down.
Anyways, Indy, I'm looking at that magnaflow 23285 you mentioned, and it says on Summit, "Welding, cutting, and tube-bending equipment are not required." Is this true? It doesn't look like those pipes are long enough to make it all the way to the manifolds, but maybe the picture isn't how it looks. Can you shed some light there?

I personally have never run that, do know others that have.
Pic is deceiving
The 2 pipes that go into the cat when mounted will be stacked vertically & not horizontally (side by side) like the pics shows.
The pipe with the manifold connector attached to it will be at the top.
The 2nd pipe that isnt attached plugs into the bottom short pipe on the cat
