Floating gas gauge?

Question Floating gas gauge?
i have a 97 1500. i was wonder if anyone else had the floating gauge and if there is a way to get rid of it.

1. Empty gas tank
2. Drop gas tank
3. Remove fuel pump/float mechanism
4. Repair float per instructions here...

Mine floats below about quarter of a tank. Goes up when ya stop, down when you accelerate. Its a big tank, and the gas sloshes around. I am not surprised at all at its behavior.
