Default 35" tire with a 3" lift possible?

Hey all,
Recently i just installed a 3" suspension lift on my 99 Ram sport 4x4 and im curious on what size tire i can cram underneath there without any problems. (Tire Rub, etc.)

I know i can fit 33" at ease but is there anyway i can get a 35" under there?

They would be going on a set of 16x10.5 M/T rim.

Thanks

3in should clear it for yeah. haveing a 16x10 you shouldnt rub the control arms but depending on what tire you are running you may rub the back of the fender.

3 - 3.5" of lift; i didn't really measure. 2500 diesel springs up front, and new shocks; add a leaf in the rear, an extra overload leaf, and a couple pounds in the airbags. rides............ like a diesel.

tires are 35x12.5r15s on 15x10 wagon wheels. they stick out (to far for my liking actually) but a screaming deals a screaming deal. no rub at full lock. i did rub on the fenders though; so i cut them out; if i didn't tell you i did it, i bet you wouldn't notice

now, IF i ran them on stock wheels, they would NOT have rubbed on the fenders, but would hit the control arms at full steering lock; pick your poison. for me, it was free tires/rims, so why not make a little notch to make em fit?

Johnny, the answer is yes to you with the parts you put on. The answer is no depending on what parts he puts on. The answer is also different depending on how you drive. Regular street driving yes to maybe. Hauling a load of blocks in the back maybe not. Full articulation and wheeling more than likely no. With some trimming and banging yes. Additionally, he has the Sport. You do not.

There's not enough information to give a definitive yes.

anythings possible if you're determined i WAS gonna post a picture of a sawzall and say 'anythings' possible' hahaha, but i figured i'd just show what i've done that works well........... for me, and let him be the judge for his own rig; pretty much the only way for him to determine if it'll work for his rig or not......

see your point though,

yeah i mean all i got on it is a Rough Country 3" suspension lift. it came with taller coils, like 2" rear blocks, upper and lower suspension arms, and new shocks all around. its my daily driver and i just go off-roading from time to time. im willing to do some wheel well trimming but if its gonna be too much of a hassle to fit some 35s then i might just go with the 33s haha

I have a 98 Ram 1500 sport.
Rancho 3" suspension lift and two inch body lift and 35" BFG"s still rub at full turn and hitting a bump ( entering my driveway ) the tire will touch the fender.

I just added Dayton HD stock size springs ( heavier load capillarity ) with the Rancho spacer block and it raised it another 1 1/2 inches.

That makes me have now about 4 1/2 inches raised in the front.
My New Goodyear 35" MTR kevlars clear with no issues now.

So to answer your question, NO.
Mine rubbed 35's with 5" of lift, I would say with 3" of lift max tire size of 33".

I have 3" body lift with 35" mudders....with my first set of rims with larger backspacing they did not rub now they do with wider rims at full lock when at an angle or bump...
