Default She wont start...help me!!

ok so i replaced the plenum pan and gasket in my 1996 dodge ram 1500 5.9L put everything back together the way i took it apart and now the starter turns the engine but the engine will not start. there is fuel getting into the fuel rails as i checked for pressure. i also checked all electrical connections and all plug wires to the distributor. does the fuel rail need to reach a certain pressure for the injectors to function...help me out guys

Need to have above about 35 pounds pressure for it to start, and 'run'..... for certain values of run. Spec is 49PSI.

have you tried giving it some gas while cranking??

you guys are gonna think this is a stupid question but here goes - is there any way to check for spark without removing the plug, cranking the engine and watching for a spark at the end of the plug. reason i ask is because im the only one home rite now and it would be rather difficult for me to crank the engine and watch for spark at the same time

Hold on to one of the wires.... (seriously, DON'T do that...)

Pull the coil wire, stick a spark plug in it, ground it somewhere you can see it from the drivers seat. (the coil wire is nice and long...) give the engine a crank. See what you see.

no spark. all the plug wires are plugged snuglly into the distributor, there is a ton of pressure in the full rail and the code reader shows no codes
