Default Diesel radiator in a gas powered 98

We are having radiator issues in the womans 98 and was wondering if a radiator from a cummins powered ram will fit one with a 360,anyone know if there are different core supports for a gas and diesel. If one would fit the 360 would never get hot,no more used radiators for me as the one I picked up on craigs list lasted 3 weeks and blew out the seal on the one tank. Still had the original behind the garage and recrimped the tanks and is doing good with a lower pressure cap so I hope it will last until fall and put in a new one and no more problems.

I am sure it will.

However, be prepared to pay about $350 for a new radiator for a the diesel Ram's. The stock 360 radiator cost me $149.99 last week.

i've studied this some, but haven't done it yet. The diesel/V10 radiator is several inches wider, and should fit inside the supports. they are available from ebay for not much $$.

the thing you'll have to work out is your shroud, since the v8 shroud will be narrower. if you had e-fans you could just ignore this problem.

The next time I see a cummins powered truck I will look at it closely and do some measuring, there was one at a truck show yesterday but did not look at it but did see that the radiator was slightly larger and got the idea after I got home and was changing the radiator.

There is one more problem the rad hoses on the v8 rad are smaller than on the diesel rad and the hoses on the v10 rad are even bigger than on the diesel rad. The other guy that did the swap used a diesel because he did not thing he could strech the rad hoses as big as the v10 rad needed

I will most likely puty the correct radiator in it but I like more radiator then what is needed,I put a F600 radiator in a 78 F150 years ago and it never got anywhere close to hot again.

good catch. i forgot about the inlet and outlet sizes. you can get reducer pipes for the hoses. it'll be a little cobbled up looking, but so be it.
