Default Fender flares on RAM 1500

Hi guys,

i want to mount 35 x 12,5 x 17 wheels on 17 x 9 rims.
The truck is already lifted but now i have to buy a set of fender flares.

The wheels will stick a little bit out of the bodyline,
but i donīt know how wide the fender flares have to be so that the tire profile
( tread pattern ) is covered ?

What do you think ?
1,75" like the bushwacker "OE" Style
or
2,0" like the bushwacker extend-a-fender

???

Thx for help.

I have 32 11.5 15 with goodyear wrangler with kevlar my rims have I think a 3in or 5in backspace. I had the bushwacker cut out fender flares gave a 3in extra coverage and they covered the whole tire looked sweet but truck broke down and had to sell them.

That tire and wheel combo (35's and 17's) will stick out just over 2" give or take a few smidgens. If you want complete full coverage, you may want to get the wide flairs... but I would recommend the medium ones at most...

Thank you olyelr,
there is an regulation here in germany, that the top of the wheel ( the tread, not the side wall of the tire ) have to be covered.
A good friend of me rides 37 x 12,5 x 17 on a 17 x 10 ( !! ) rim.
He goes fine with a 3" fender flare.
So i would think, that a 2" fender flare works good on a 17 x 9 rim.

what do you think ?
