Default Need help finding block heater connection

Hey all, need a little help with the block heater. I know it's summer and I don't need a block heater right now, but I am just trying to tinker with what I can while I wait for the trans to come back from the shop.

I need to know where the heating element is for the block heater (this is one from the dealer/factory, not aftermarket). I have the loose end that should plug into it but can't seem to find the heater on the truck. I know the engine was replaced two years ago so it may be possible that the heater never got moved over in the change and that's why I can't seem to find it.

Thanks for any help!

If it is still there, should be on the right side, by the oil filter, in place of the freeze plug there. If the engine has been changed, my guess is, it didn't make the trip.

Spot on HeyYou. The freeze plug is shinny and new just like the other ones. Looks like the heater didn't make it to the new motor. Thanks for the info on where it should have been.

IDK where it would be on the V10, but I'm pretty sure HeyYou was talking about the V8s.
