They're ok, but not recommended for tires larger than 32-33" or high horsepower. They can fail under those stresses.

They're aggravating as hell when making a turn in the yard, staying locked and chewing up the grass under the inside tire. I'd give anything for a lock/unlock cable.

But - where they shine is in the dirt and mud. no more one-wheel wonder. if you get stuck, its not because both wheels aren't digging!!!!

I was out playing around in the mud as usual I was going though this one hole which is like a big puddle, fulled with water and hard bottom. I got on it a little bit (not enough to spin the tires) just enough to get going more when I heard what I thought I hit a big rock under the water. Got out of it and did it again, it sounded like it was coming from the front end at first.

Did some looking around and well it wasn't, ended up driving home in 4 wheel drive which the place I was about 30mins away driving the speed limit. The next day when I tore into the rear end nothing in the rear end was tight..... I blew and locked up the rear end a little over a year ago and I took it to the dealer where I got my truck and let them do the work...

if you had metal shavings in your diff you will be replacing your bearings fairly soon.
they will pit if you didnt get 99% fo the shavings out.

on my old dodge mine went out and had to replace all 6 bearings and fully disassemble it and clean everything out
