When I did mine I rented a spring compressor from Advanced, disconnected my sway bar and it was cake after that.

If you have a jack that can lift the truck up enough to unload the springs, you don't need the compressor. Given that you already have a five inch lift though...... Gonna need a pretty serious jack.

lol no this isnt for my truck. its a friends and his is stock. so if i can get the front end of the truck up high enough the springs will have enough room to expand? will they have enough room when i put the spacer in?

you can do it without a compressor, i put a 2.5" on my truck just jack it up to unload the springs and then when you put the coil in, have a buddy stand on the rotor and the other put in the spring with a pry bar. it was cake.

Nope, wont need the spring compressor but you will need to disconnect the track bar and possibly the sway bar.

You can put them on your 5" springs, but you will want longer control arms at the least, and long arms with new frame mounts would be the best. 7" of lift sucks on short arms.

Would the front need realigned after a leveling kit install since it is a solid axle?

I bought the harbor freight cheapies. I always make sure to double check them before use though.
