I know when I put my new pump on two years ago there was no play at all.

Indys pwr steering pulley moves maybe 1/16th (60k miles)
Cant say on the V10, went to pick it up Friday but bumper top wasnt right.

Bjoints & tie rods tend to go fast on our trucks.
My Indys lower bj & outer tie rods were shot with only 60k on her. (replace inners & uppers as well)
V10 just got some outer tie rods & its only got 40k on it. (dealer slid it in with damage/repairs)

Aim
My ride has the same issue but progressed far beyond a small chirp. I know for a fact that my ball joints are bad but that is only part of the problem. If your truck makes noise while turning the wheels at a stop or when you push down on the fender you also need to change the control(A) arm bushings. The dealers replace the whole assembly since most of the ball joints are spot welded in our trucks. This is something I know most guys do not do while at the house.

Forgot, my c arm bushings were shot in the Indy as well & swapped them while I was doing tie rods & bjs. The upper arm bushings were a bit of a PITA.
Front wheel bearings as well in both. The V10 wheel bearings started to make noise but wasnt really a squeak, kind of a groan. Did the Indys bearings cause it was all apart & dont want to go back in unless I bag it.
