my 97 ram 1500 when i bought it the seat belts were cut, so i found some other ones at the junkyard. when i took them out of the junkyard truck i relized that when the seat belt retracts so far, you cant pull it back out. i figured that there was a button or somthing to let the seat belt back out and havnt found one. are all seat belts like this? and is it fixable by a regular guy not a specialist in seat belts lol? help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

 

If you let it retract all the way, can you pull it back out? If so, that is 'normal'...... no fix required. It's a 'safety measure'.....
