Default JB Weld

So I am still without a precat O2, cant tap the hole and cant get a bung put on since its directly on the cat everyone saying it would be a federal offense to mess with it. Im down to fileing the threads on my new sensor down and the threads inside the cat. Just gonna JB Weld it in. I was told that if I do that it might hold but the heat of the exhaust will melt the jb weld. anyone know if this is true? and anyone have any other suggestions I might try concerning this O2 sensor mess. thanx.

And a muffler shop won't just weld in another bung? WTF???? The fed wants the O2 sensor in there, and functioning, they don't CARE if it is located in the cat, or an inch or three forward of it.

Find an independent shop, not one of the big chains, and have THEM weld the bung on.

find another muffler shop or weld in your own.
the shops that are not wanting to do this just wanting to sell you a new $200 plus cat.

a federal law? lmao. thats the first time i've ever heard of that. some states don't even require an inspection, so how the hell would they even know? "excuse me sir, do you know why i pulled you over?" no. "i could tell from a ways back your o2 sensor has been fukkered with" . ahahahahaha. you tell them I said they are retarded.
